Every year, thousands of home fires result in significant loss of life, injury and property damage. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), there are nearly 4,000 fire deaths per year in the United States alone, 82% of which are residential and residential fires (National Fire Sprinkler Association).

Within the context of Home Fire Sprinkler Week 2025, Komtes Group joins the international campaign promoted by the NFPA and the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition to raise awareness of the importance of automatic sprinkler systems in homes.

Fire sprinklers - immediate and effective

Automatic sprinkler systems are one of the most effective measures to reduce the risk of house fires. Although it is a widely held belief, sprinklers do not all activate simultaneously; only the head closest to the fire activates autonomously when high temperatures are detected, discharging water in a localized manner and controlling or even extinguishing the fire in its early stages.

NFPA studies indicate that sprinkler systems operated effectively in 93% of fires large enough to activate them. In addition, homes equipped with sprinklers and smoke detectors have an 85% lower risk of death in a fire compared to those without sprinklers and smoke detectors. These studies can be found at NFPA.

Komtes' commitment to residential security

In Komtes Group, we develop and integrate complete solutions for fire protection, and of course also for the residential environment. Our product range includes automatic sprinklers, control stations, valves, high-pressure water mist systems, manual extinguishing media such as portable extinguishers, equipped fire hydrants, hydrants, dry columns, and advanced detection solutions designed to provide effective, discreet and reliable protection in homes, residential buildings and social housing projects.

We work closely with private and public entities to promote the installation of sprinkler systems in new constructions, not only as providers of a mandatory service, but also as drivers of a key measure to protect lives and property.

Remember: Safety begins at home

A fire can start in seconds, but its impact can be avoided with prevention and appropriate technology. Installing automatic sprinkler systems in homes is an investment in safety that saves lives and significantly reduces property damage. Home first, but #AlwaysProtected.
