Komtes Group collaborates with the Gavi initiative, through the "La Caixa" Foundation, to provide child vaccination in Mozambique and Ethiopia.

This action, included in the Social Responsibility plan of the company from Burgos, joins forces with the Bill Gates Foundation to save the lives of millions of children in the world, who are daily exposed to serious diseases because they do not have access to vaccines.

Childhood vaccination is one of the greatest health challenges on a global scale, and even more so in recent years marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, everyone's collaboration is of vital importance to help protect the health of children.

The Komtes Group's contribution to the Gavi (Alliance for Child Vaccination) project will be used to distribute the pneumococcal vaccine in Mozambique and Ethiopia to prevent pneumonia, the biggest cause of infant mortality from infectious diseases on a global scale.

In 2008, the "la Caixa" Foundation created the Child Vaccine Alliance with a commitment from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to multiply each donation received by four, thus redoubling everyone's efforts to ensure the health and growth of children. The Barcelona Institute for Global Health - ISGlobal is a scientific and academic partner of this Alliance that has helped to vaccinate more than 8 million children under the age of 5 who will be able to live longer, healthier and more productive lives.

This collaboration of the Komtes Group, included in its Corporate Social Responsibility Plan, shows the sensitivity and social commitment of the company from Burgos and joins other collaborations, for example, with the El Cid Centre for the labour inclusion of people with different abilities and with the CISA Aspanias Foundation for groups with greater difficulties in accessing work.
